Announcement of Interim CEO at Ontario Heroes Health and Social Services

We are pleased to announce that Aswini Anna Mathew, a dedicated and accomplished Registered Social Worker, has been appointed as the Interim CEO of Ontario Heroes Health and Social Services. Aswini brings over 10 years of professional experience in social work and a remarkable track record of leadership and service.

Aswini holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and currently works as a Registered Social Worker at Trillium Hospital. Additionally, she serves as a consultant therapist at NOCD in Chicago. Since joining Ontario Heroes in 2020, she has played a pivotal role in numerous initiatives, including spearheading blood and plasma donation campaigns and serving as the Director of International Student Services. Her exceptional contributions extend to her involvement with the advisory committee for the CCS CBPRO project in 2023 and her coordination efforts for the Heroes Fest 2022 and Asianet News Health Excellence Award 2023 have also been exemplary.

Her passion for social work and volunteerism is evident in her outstanding day-to-day activities, case management, and crisis intervention, especially in the areas of mental health and addiction. She has made significant impacts through her targeted interventions for international students, mentorship programs, campaigns, and event management.

Aswini’s dedication has been recognized by receiving the national RBC-Ontario Heroes Life Saver Award 2022. We warmly welcome Aswini Anna Mathew to the leadership team of Ontario Heroes and look forward to her continued dedication and innovative vision as she leads our organization toward new heights.
